RAM 1500 MPG Ratings

2022 RAM 2500 with man sitting on tailgate

If you need a pickup that will never leave you wanting more, you truly can’t go wrong with a RAM truck! These tried and tested vehicles combine seriously impressive towing and payload ratings with luxury features and amenities that few rivals have an answer for—and even this description barely scratches the surface of what’s offered. That’s because the RAM 1500 doesn’t justexceed expectations in extreme conditions, it’s also a confident daily driver that can help you save on gas without compromising your performance needs!

The light-duty RAM truck’s mpg ratings reach as high as 22 mpg city and 32 mpg highway—however, your fuel economy will depend on which powertrain and options you select. Our guide to this RAM’s miles-per-gallon estimates has all the information you’ll need to move forward.

RAM Gas MPG Ratings: 1500

If you need a vehicle for daily driving, or tend to spend lots of time driving between jobsites in Shelby and Ashland, the entry-level 3.6L V6 is a perfectly acceptable choice. If we exclude the diesel engine—detailed below—the standard powerplant offers the best RAM truck mpg in the lineup.

Other options are not quite as efficient, but you’ll need to choose the V8 with eTorque® if you want to reach the maximum RAM 1500 towing capacity.

Heavy-Duty RAM Truck MPG Ratings

Heavy-duty RAM truck mpg ratings are never listed by the EPA—however, many independent reviewers perform independent tests that can help you get an idea of what to expect. Since models like the RAM 2500 and RAM 3500 offer higher towing and payload ratings than any 1500 model, many hard-working Galion-area drivers can’t afford to overlook these options.
